Partnership – Partnership in Christ ought to be voluntary and a desired commitment of love for human souls, growing and expanding the kingdom of God on Earth. The undying and triumphant love of God impels us to especially reach out to the poorest and those that are not easily reached that they too may receive salvation, and at the same time encouraging them in the best way we can to serve and obey the Lord Jesus. As it was in the early church so it’s even urgent now and necessary to build a diligent workforce for the Great Commission of Christ, men and women that will faithfully pursue the widespread of God’s mission on earth. Christ expect us to congregate together first as a family, team of love and perhaps form a mutual force, or partnership in working out the salvation of those that have not known Christ and are yet to believe the eternal promises of God.
In (Acts. 2: 41-47), Christian fellowship as a commonplace of communion for God’s people will be much fulfilling if the brethren share their heartfelt and true love, commitment and resources for the purpose of God’s kingdom, this does not necessarily mean giving up all we have. It simply means to become aware of the need or more considerate of others to indeed accept that, many poor people are truly in need and desire a helping hand. We must not neglect those that genuinely have need for Christ both the rich and poor alike, the charge to why we are called to serve. Serving with our spiritual gifts and substances, this does not mean giving up our possessions to help and care for others that are in need. For many blessed or middle-class families, cutting personal cost or unnecessary expenses to save money is all they need to do in order to assist or support other lowly families overcome difficulties or challenges (1Corinth. 10:24).
We all have to build and sustain the body of Christ as stewards and children of God, though the body is in parts and its functionality differentiated in diversities yet it is one body (church). It’s to me unacceptable to neglect or abandon other poor brethren to suffer defeat or shame because they are not gifted in particular ways or not blessed with certain material possessions, we should not allow any part of Christ’s body to suffer affliction, abandonment or dwell in perpetual lack if we are more fortunate or blessed than they may be (1Corith. 12: 4-7, 12-27). Partnership with God means diligent and committed hands or the ability of men to bear burden of Christ’s work as stewards, as believers that we are, all must understand the importance and compulsion to advancing the kingdom of God on earth. The call to serve God with our substance is not selective for certain personages; we all must join hands to advance His kingdom on earth with our substances and gifts (1Corinth. 16:1-2).
Financing the kingdom of God is important just as every other earthly pursuit or project that require finances to undertake goals and objectives, for Christendom to flourish, leverage on the divine opportunities God has provided for us in order to fulfill the foretold scriptural revelations, courageous men and women are to stand in the gap to ensure that the gospel is convincingly received by all nations of the world. This universal pursuit of Christ mission is costly in most part of the world; this could mean bidding to operate as Christian organizations with legal rights. Most pagan or Islamic nation’s laws prohibit Christianity; the price to penetrate such terrains requires strategic and intentional planning to gain operational access. Also, for rural evangelism to be effective and efficient, huge costs are incurred. The cost of mobility, gospel and study materials, interpretations, aid, operational cost and miscellaneous etc. All this are made possible through partnership and facilitation of gifted or gracious hands as pillars, partners and stewards of the gospel.

Service
Serving God is the ultimate decision or choice any man can make, the sacred command and eternal ordinance of God for man. From creation and in ancient Egypt (Gen. 2:15, Ex. 8: 20), God necessitated and established a rule for service and He is ever waiting for man to fulfill the obligation of that rule, been subjects of everlasting service God require us to render perpetual worship and service to Him. This divine rule cannot be overruled or avoided by anyone for there are severe consequences or penalties for those who reject it, just like other ordinances which are found or established by God that host the heavens’ above and earth beneath (Rom. 12: 11). It’s on the same premise that Jesus thus appointed and commanded us to serve in the conversion of those overwhelmed and enslaved by sin, this everlasting rule to serve God and offer service for the great commission of Jesus Christ in spreading the gospel is expected to be executed by the believer’s world until His second coming.
In (Matt. 20: 26-28) Jesus explained who is truly a child and servant of the Most High, through the help of the Holy Spirit our service to God is made perfect and acceptable. For he that win souls is wise, (Prov. 11: 30). Again in (Matt. 28: 18-20), before He ascended to heaven, Jesus commissioned all believers in all the earth to go out and make disciples of all nations. Going out to win souls or persuade sinners to repent that they may turn away from wicked ways and do good, and genuinely accept Jesus Christ as the savior of the world is indeed the service of the great commission Christ instituted before Ascension. This sacrificial service of love for others and helping them to come to Jesus, to learn about God and His righteousness, believe, worship, trust, have faith, obey Him was first wrapped up in service by the demand God placed on King Pharaoh to let His people go that they may serve Him and was reaffirmed by Moses as they move to possess the Promise Land (Deut. 6: 13). Many thousand years later, Christ through the covenant of grace charged His disciples to love God above everything else, through our love for neighbor. God took time during Israel’s 40yrs journey in the wilderness to teach His people and eventually succeeded in making them know the necessity and importance of serving Him, serving God made them safer and powerful. Through our service and obedience to Him, our lives are better shaped, guided and secured. The twelve (12) apostles were ordinary Jewish men before Christ called them and crowned them with perpetual reverence, honor and prominence, these men are eternally enthroned in heaven and subjects of emulation on earth and shall be gathered to the throne of the Lamb judging the whole world.

Serving God always earn us honor, joy, peace and there is no one that is called by Him without been greatly rewarded and honored. At some stage Peter stopped and asked Jesus what would be their gain or profit for following Him, and Christ assured them of the glory that was to come as those fortunate to inherit the kingdom of God. They have not only inherited the kingdom but are made patriarchs of the Christian faith; the world is still in awe of these great men that laid down their lives for the possible establishment of Christian foundation and faith. God called Abraham out of his country as an ordinary childless man and without possessions, later in the end through Abraham God brought forth a nation and made him father of all nations. The same with King David, he was abandoned to tend his father’s sheep and barely could anyone remember him as the son of his father.
However, as a little boy that he was, David loved and diligently served the Lord, always honoring God first and giving glory to Him alone. Eventually the day of reward came when Samuel called out for him to be anointed king over Israel, then he began to be a mighty king and God finally portrayed him as the man after His heart, the greatest king that served the Lord and ever lived on the earth. Jesus says that true authority is when one performs service, it is in serving, not exploiting others. The vineyard is the Lord’s, not ours. Authority is a service, and as such should be exercised for the good of all and for the dissemination of the Gospel. It is awful to see when people who have authority in the Church seek their own interests.
Saint Paul, tells us how to be good workers in the Lord’s vineyard, that which is true, noble, just, pure, lovely and honored; that which is virtuous and praiseworthy, let all this be the daily object of our commitment. It is the attitude of authority and also of each one of us, because every one of us, even in a small, tiny way, has a certain authority. In this way we shall become a Church ever richer in the fruits of holiness, we shall give glory to the Father who loves us with infinite tenderness, to the Son who continues to give us salvation, and to the Spirit who opens our hearts and impels us towards the fullness of goodness. In choosing these two Words addressed by God to his people and by putting them together, Jesus taught once and for all that love for God and love for neighbor are inseparable, moreover, they sustain one another. Even if set in a sequence, they are two sides of a single coin: experienced together they are a believer’s strength! To love God is to live of him and for him, for what he is and for what he does.
Our God is unmitigated giving, he is unlimited forgiveness, he is a relationship that promotes and fosters. Therefore, to love God means to invest our energies each day to be his assistants in the unmitigated service of our neighbor, in trying to forgive without limitations, and in cultivating relationships of communion and fraternity. God, who is love, created us to love and so that we can love others while remaining united with Him. It would be misleading to claim to love our neighbor without loving God, and it would also be deceptive to claim to love God without loving our neighbor. The two dimensions of love, for God and for neighbor, in their unity characterize the disciple of Christ.
